Shivkumar Soni was born in Bidasar, Churu in Rajasthan. From his childhood he was scribbler and it was this love of painting that drove him to the royal pink city of Jaipur to study art in the Rajasthan School of Art .
Shivkumar was like a vivacious child participating in various exhibitions and competitions winning many admirers and printspace. He had his first solo exhibition in 2015, aptly titled ‘The childhood’.
Shivkumar works in all mediums but Watercolor is his favourite. To further this he has developed his own style of painting Acrylic in Watercolor style.
In his own words he says
“In my paintings I want to show the things which I have seen and observed in the childhood. I enjoyed very much with beautiful things like kites, birds, balloons, toys, hats and playing in rainy weather, imagining ownself over the clouds, flying with kites and many beautiful things which everybody feels or imagined in their childhood. So usually I depict these all things in my paintings. The essence of childhood still not went away from my heart. These beautiful things I paint sometimes with a baby I named him “PUPPY”. I imagined him & paint in my own creative style.”
