Dipak Das from Kolkata holds an engineering degree from Jadavpur. He worked for a decade in the corporate sector. But his struggle with his inner calling for art was so overpowering that he finally quit it to become a full time self taught artist.
Interestingly he went beyond acyrlics and oil and choose Pyrography.
Pyrography is the art or technique of decorating wood by burning a design on the surface with a heated metallic point. Dipak etches beautiful designs on wood which are brought to life by fire.
He also works with acrylic and his youthful contemporary vision comes alive in his choice ad style of paintings and their subjects.
